It can directly affect the experience of pain through deep trace, relaxation, suggestion and working with repressed negative emotions. These negative emotions can lead to pain and physical discomfort. The therapy helps to reduce stress and relax the nervous system to become less reactive to pain.

Hypnosis focuses on relaxation and letting go of distracting thoughts by temporarily stopping paying attention to the conscious part of your mind.
